Drought restriction update
Outdoor watering will be allowed twice a week until further notice.
On May 5, 2015, the State adopted new regulations and mandated a 24 percent reduction in potable water use for Vallecitos from 2013 demands. Vallecitos customers rose to the occasion and conserved a total of 31 percent since the mandate has been in place. Per the District's drought ordinance, outdoor irrigation is normally limited to one day per week in the winter. However, due to the exceptional conservation efforts by Vallecitos customers, outdoor watering will continue to be allowed twice a week until further notice.
As Governor Brown recently announced that his emergency conservation order would be extended through October if drought conditions last through January, customers should still continue to use water as efficiently as possible. Vallecitos thanks all customers for answering the call to conserve!
