A water main break occurred Thursday afternoon on S. Twin Oaks Valley Road near California State University San Marcos. To make the repairs, two of the northbound lanes (north of Craven Rd) on S. Twin Oaks Valley Rd are closed to traffic.  Expect traffic delays Friday and possibly into the weekend. It is recommended for northbound motorists to look for alternate routes during peak traffic times, if possible.

The San Diego County Water Authority's Sustainable Landscapes Program is offering a financial incentive for qualified participants who upgrade residential turf lawns to landscapes that provide multiple environmental benefits. Recipients must comply with rigorous design criteria that includes water-efficient plants and irrigation equipment, rainwater capture and detention features, and soil amendments to improve water efficiency. Qualified applicants can receive up to $1.75/square foot toward eligible project costs for upgrading 500 to 3,000 square feet of existing turf areas.
