DARRELL GENTRY

Darrell is a former City Councilman and Planning Commissioner for the City of San Marcos. His background includes serving as President of the Panorama Teen & Family Resource Center Board, Chair of the San Marcos KenDucky Derby Committee, Co-chair of the San Marcos Holiday Parade Committee and current member of the San Marcos Economic Development Corp. He is also past President of San Marcos Kiwanis Club, past Vice President of the San Marcos Boys & Girls Club and past Chair of City Youth Opportunities Task Force San Marcos. Outside of the community, Darrell is former City Manager of Adelanto, CA, former tribal administrator for Rincon Band of Mission Indians, and former Redevelopment Manager for the City of Whittier, CA. With a bachelors of science degree in urban planning from Cal Poly, Pomona, and land planner certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners, Darrell is the current President of DWG Consulting. Darrell has served on the District’s Finance/Investment and Engineering/Equipment Committees and has served as President of the Council of Water Utilities. Darrell also serves as the District’s representative on the Encina Wastewater Authority Board of Directors and the Association of California Water Agencies Region 10 Board of Directors.

Darrell lives in San Marcos.
