Student tour of water operations departmentAt Vallecitos Water District service reliability may include a well-versed staff maintaining and building state of the art distribution facilities, but everything really starts with encouraging responsible water use so that this valuable, natural resource remains readily available in the future.

This is achieved with an all-encompassing school education program that includes the traditional classroom presentation to the non-traditional field trip to expand water awareness knowledge.

Students may learn about water quality, water conservation, water science, water distribution, water history, local climate, water current events, gardening, native habitat and plants, the water cycle, or more!

Presentations and field trips are designed to supplement the California Content Standards as adopted by grade level by the California State Board of Education.

Please browse through our school education pages to learn more about the many programs offered by Vallecitos Water District.
