Water outage: On Sunday, August 19, there was a water main break affecting many of the residents of Coronado Hills. All homes east of Indian Ridge (including that road) are out of water. Vallecitos crews are on site making the repairs. The estimated time for water service to be back on is Monday at 2:00 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Traffic alert: From August 6 through Monday, August 20, motorists can expect multiple lane closures along eastbound San Marcos Blvd. from Viewpoint Dr. to Knights Realm and westbound San Marcos Blvd. from Knights Realm to Rancho Santa Fe Ave. These closures will accommodate major roadway repair work resulting from the water main break that occurred on Tuesday, July 24 due to a decades-old corroded pipe. Vallecitos Water District must review proposed water and sewer improvements from properties requesting water and sewer services. Vallecitos Water District standards require properties to connect to a District main line at the frontage of the property. Each parcel, existing or proposed must have frontage along water and/or sewer mains. Properties not having frontage along an existing water or sewer main may be required to extend the Distric main line to the property. An engineer would be retained by the owner to determine the cost estimate and design for the extension. The development plans and all extension design plans must be submitted for review.
