Can't make the Water Academy Tour - Watch it virtually!

Each year, Vallecitos offers customers a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to operate the District and provide reliable and sustainable water and wastewater service to the more than 100,000 residents in our service area. The tour typically takes all day and includes a bus tour to the District’s 33-million-gallon and 40-million-gallon capacity Ed Pedrazzi Water Storage Facility, some of the largest prestressed concrete reservoirs in the world. The grand finale of the tour is a visit to the District’s Meadowlark Water Reclamation Facility in Carlsbad, capable of recycling up to 74% of the wastewater generated in our service area.

For customers unable to attend the full day tour, this webpage offers a "Virtual Water Academy," giving a condensed version of what you would see on the tour.
