The purpose of this project is to replace and modernize automation infrastructure at VWD's remote facilities. Specifically, this means new PLC hardware, updated SCADA screens, modernized electrical control panels for safety compliance, and comprehensive documentation of the completed system. PlanetBids Vendor Registration
Thank you for your interest in doing business with the Vallecitos Water District.
Vallecitos Water District's Capital Facilities Department now uses a web-based procurement system hosted by PlanetBids (PB System), which allows interested contractors and service providers to register online and to receive email notifications of solicitations for goods and services pertinent to their business.
Please register with Vallecitos using the PlanetBids procurement system. Registration is no cost to all interested businesses and allows vendors to download bid and contract documents, receive addenda, submit electronic bids, view bid results, and submit insurance documents.
Vendors are responsible for registering, maintaining up-to-date and accurate business profile information in the PB System. Since this is an automated notification system, if your e-mail address is invalid or inoperable, you will not receive solicitation notifications. Vallecitos strongly suggests that vendors provide two e-mail contact addresses in the spaces provided when registering their businesses, in order to minimize the chance of missing the automated email notifications. Vendors may edit their profile information at any time.
Both formal and informal solicitations may be processed through this system. All responses are due by the time indicated on each solicitation and late responses will not be accepted. It is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure that the most complete and current version of the solicitation, including addenda, has been obtained. Solicitation contract documents are available for download from the PB System.
We have made every effort to make all aspects of the contracting process as easy, secure, and reliable as possible. However, if you need help or have questions concerning the features available to our vendors on this section, go to the PlanetBids Help Center for online assistance. Vendors are responsible for contacting PlanetBids directly for technical assistance.

Additional Notes:
- RFP’s for Vallecitos' other departments, including Administrative Services and Finance, will not be solicited through PlanetBids at this time. Information for these departments can be found on the District's RFP webpage.
- In order to access Vallecitos' PB System, you must use either the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser.
- Bid Submissions are due prior to the advertised date/time through the District's Planet Bids Portal.
